Building a strong Immune System



How do we build a stronger Immune System?

It is important to take responsibility of your own wellbeing by making healthy choices. Our immune system is our best defence against getting certain illness cold and flu viruses so, here are some helpful tips:
  • Eat well
  • Eat 6 to 8 serves of coloured vegetables
  • Eat 2 serves of fruit
  • Choose a protein to add to your diet.
  • Bone broths or
  • Vegetable protein
  • Garlic (if tolerated)
  • Drink adequate good quality water. 2 litres at least.
  • Exercise daily
  • Make sure you get good quality sleep
Eliminate or lower these:
  • Sugar lowers immunity by 50 percent for 2 hours after consumption
  • No sugar
  • No gluten
  • No dairy
  • No processed foods
  • No nicotine
  • No artificial sweeteners.
  • Excessive alcohol intake

Keep stress levels low.

Stress will lower a person’s Immunity, try to do something daily to help combat stress, here are some examples:
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Deep breathing
  • Exercise
  • Dancing
  • Laughter
  • Engaging with loved ones in a positive way, having FUN
  • Think positive thoughts
  • Do something you love doing, craft, gardening etc.
  • Get out into Nature
Essential Vitamins for strong immunity are
  • Vitamin C at least 1000 mg per day of an ascorbic acid or ascorbate.
  • Vitamin D 1000 IU daily up to 5000 IU
  • Vitamin A protects the lungs
  • Zinc

  • 1 litre apple cider vinegar
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic
  • Horseradish
  • 1 onion
  • Fresh thyme
  • Fresh oregano
Place all ingredients into a blender and let sit for a day.
  • Drink 3 spoonful’s a day can be taken or add to salads, (unless the person is allergic to vinegar)
Thieves oil essential oils:
  • Thyme oil
  • Oregano
  • Eucalyptus
  • Rosemary
Please note essential oils are extremely powerful one or two drops a day on hanky or in diffuser.
